Samaritan Center

Basic Needs Closet

The current needs at the Samaritan are listed in the attached “Basic Needs Closet”.  If you would like to donate any of these items, please bring them to church marked for the “Samaritan Center” and we will make sure they are delivered.  If you have a large donation, please give them a call to schedule a time to drop it off, so that they can be ready to help you unload.  Drop-off times include Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM.  As always, thank you for supporting this amazing organization!

Bridgeport Food Pantry

Northminster continues to partner with St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Bridgeport with their food pantry as they serve the Northern Onondaga County area.  They serve 115 families and a total of 435 people each month.  The pantry has advised that our church is the largest donor to the food pantry other than the Food Bank of CNY.  Thank you to all our members and friends who continue to provide food for the pantry!

Please continue to donate food items (canned foods, boxed pastas/rice, cereal, etc.), as these are much needed items within our community.

Please bring them to church and we will make sure that they are delivered to the Bridgeport Food Pantry.  Feel free to bring in food items at any time and place them in the “Food Pantry Donation Box” located in the Narthex.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace

The local chapter in Syracuse is one of the 4th largest chapters in the United States.  The group of volunteers are dedicated to building, assembling and delivering beds to children (ages 3-17) in need in the greater Syracuse and Oswego City area.  They are locally all volunteers and since the first delivery on October 6th, 2018, they have delivered over 4,500 beds and counting.  The local chapter is a 100% volunteer organization.  Currently there are over 800 children in the Syracuse area that are waiting for beds.  Your donation stays in our community and serves kiddos right here.  All funds are used to build and deliver fully furnished beds to kiddos.  Their expenses include tools, lumber and hardware for Build Days and new mattresses, bedding and pillows for deliveries.

If you would like more information or would like to volunteer with Anne Jones and Kimball Clark, please feel free to contact Anne directly at jonesae56@gmail.com.
