Pastor Karen E. Dimon is a graduate of Hope College in Holland, MI and United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities.

She has served as Pastor at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Camillus, New York and as Interim Pastor at Onondaga Valley Presbyterian Church in Syracuse. Before moving to Central New York, Pastor Karen served as Associate Executive for the Synod of Lakes and Prairies in the area of social justice and women’s ministries and as the Associate Pastor for young adult and new member ministries at Central Presbyterian Church in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Pastor Karen was an art major in college and enjoys drawing and pottery. She likes running, gardening, cross-country skiing, and spending time with her family. Their favorite vacation spot is Cranberry Lake, New York, where her folks have a camp.

Pastor Karen and her husband, the Reverend Peter Shidemantle, pastor at Pebble Hill Presbyterian Church in DeWitt, moved to the Syracuse area in 1993. Pastor Karen is a "native" of the area, having grown up in Fayetteville, where her parents still live. Karen and Peter are parents of Dale and Kara.
